Timeless Desire Blog Tour-KevaD

Welcome KevaD, a friend who is a great inspiration to me personally, and an author whose stories remain in my head long after the book is closed.

First of all, thank you for hosting me here, HC. It's wonderful to be back. I'm so glad you finally got past the whole ugly stalking allegations. How did you get Hugh Jackman into that basement anyway?

HC. So you found out about the 'stalking' hey? Oh...sh*t I forgot about Hugh. You carry on I'll be back in a few seconds.

Hello, everyone, and welcome. I'm KevaD.
Here's my official Noble Romance short bio:
KevaD is David "DA" Kentner, prolific author of romance, suspense, horror, fantasy, and winner of American Mensa, Ltd’s Calliope magazine 18th annual fiction competition. His weekly column "The Readers' Writers" in which he interviews famous and soon-to-be-famous authors appears in newspapers across the country.
When not writing, shoveling snow or mowing their 5 acres outside Freeport, IL, he's trying to explain to his wife the TV has more than SOAP and GAME channels, and pizza really is a necessary and required food group.

By the way, I'll randomly select one commenter to receive a $10.00 Noble Romance Publishing gift certificate. So, thanks for being here, and be sure to click the logo to visit the next stop on the tour.

Q: What is the funniest thing that ever happened to you?

A: My two sons once plotted against me. The oldest called me to the kitchen while the youngest hid in a lower cupboard. When I walked into the trap, the silverware drawer jumped out at me. I am now experienced in exactly how it feels to lose all control of your bodily functions.

HC. LOL now that brings back a memory, my  boys hid the knives and forks when I had the in-laws over for dinner. Kids!

Q. What do you want your readers to take away from your books?

A. I think it would be great if they left the pages intact. Especially if they borrowed the book from the library. The serious answer is, a contented smile and the desire to tell their friends about the great story they just read.

Q. What did you do when you received your first book contract?

A. I called my mother. She had written several things in her youth, but never saw her work published, opting instead to devote herself to her family and home. My achievement was as much hers as mine. My second book was contracted while she was dying. She smiled and wanted me to get back to work writing the next one. Sadly, we lost her before that next book was contracted, but I'll never forget how excited she was at the news of the first one. It was one of those moments locked forever in my heart.

H.C. That's lovely.

Q. What are your favorite movies?

A. My all-time favorite is "Yellowbeard." The humor in that film is outlandishly bawdy and just my kind of out-of-the-box funny.
"The fat one on the throne is the queen. She's not very well today, so I should kneel upwind of her."

 H.C. * Giggles*

Q. If you could start your life over what would you change?

A. Truthfully, probably nothing. My life certainly had its ups and downs, and a lot of tears. But I honestly believe that all the bad (and some of it was borderline horrific), as well as the good, led me to experience some things many people may never believe I have done. I've been penniless, sleeping in bus stations, only years later to be invited to meet with a Rhodesian Prime Minister in Zurich, Switzerland, who offered me a position as a member of his personal bodyguard. I declined the job. The paths I traveled haven't been the norm, and I don't think I'd want a single stone removed or pothole filled along my journey to where I am now.

Q. What are your current projects?

A. I'm working on a romantic suspense novel titled "Hearts on a Paper Boat." It's about two broken lives who discover love in the paper boats they set adrift on a lake.

HC. I am  so waiting to read this one.

Q. Can you tell us a little about your latest release?

"Desire Damned" is the story of two men and the events that will cause one to sacrifice eternity for the other.

Blurb:

Satan wants the warrior Taka to bow before him. But Taka bows to no one except his gentle lover Har.

For thousands of years the two men have been doomed to a life of torment. While one walks the earth, the other suffers under the devil's lash. Their only respite is an occasional night; a random, beautiful, love-filled night, knowing that with the dawn one of them must die in battle and return to Satan's wrath.

On the war-torn fields of Gettysburg the two lovers are reunited once again. But this time something beyond Hell's reach has happened. Something so wondrous, Satan may finally get his wish.

My other Timeless Desire book is "A Dance with Bogie and Bacall," a sweet romance of two people stumbling through life and the ghost bent on bringing them together.

Blurb:

Maureen and Frank Johnson shared the kind of romance most people believe only exists in movies. Until a ballroom fire took Maureen's life.

Franci Johnson grew up hearing her grandparents' love story a thousand times and wishes to find the kind of undying love Frank and Maureen had once upon a time.

DJ Scott Kincaid just wants the ghost following him to go away. But Maureen thinks the hunky DJ might be just the answer to her granddaughter's dreams.

 Q. Where can we find you on the net?

A. http://www.kevad.net/ There you can find excerpts of all my books, and a few videos I made as well.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to say to our readers?

Thank you so much for allowing me the privilege of writing my stories. It's your support that makes this journey so wonderful, and I am truly grateful.
And, thank you, HC, for sharing your blog with me today.

H.C. My pleasure, come back and see me again soon.

  17. I enjoy the banter between the two of you way too much. Poor Hugh, how could you forget him in the basement? Wish I had thought of the hiding in the cupboard thing when I was a kid.

Hugs to you KevaD, glad your mom got to see you receive your first contract.
