Bite Here by Stormy Glenn & H.C. Brown Pure, Hot Sin by H.C Brown: Leo Marshal is sucked into another dimension in a freak sea storm. He must join the cat shifters or they will kill him. No one who isn’t part of this magical land can stay, especially a human. He must join them or die. Leo is gay so the process of a shifter picking him is limited. There are gay shifters but they are few and far between. Leo is finding himself falling for his mentor in this new world, Ashrin of the Ecatnic Pride. The man is slowly making Leo think he might actually like being here after all. And if he can seduce Ashrin into loving him, they might just be able to have their happily ever after. Pure, Hot Sin is a magical tale where fairies live and shifters are everywhere. I loved how Ms. Brown brought all these creatures to life and made me really believe in them. The chemistry between Leo and Ashrin took my breath away. When you want a little magic with your shifter man love this is a beautiful story to read. The Vampire’s Assistant by Stormy Glenn: Jon Brighten was applying for a personal assistant’s position with Nikolas Vaile, owner and CEO of Vaile Industries - one of the biggest pharmaceutical and research companies in the world. Little did he suspect that mere hours later he would be attacked and mated to his perspective employer who is a vampire. Vaile has found the Rajaaka (mate) he has searched for all his life, and now that he has found him, he is not going to let his mate’s fear of being mated to a vampire destroy a prefectly good relationship. The Vampire’s Assistant is very hot, steamy and action-packed for such a short read. I like the chemistry between Vaile and Jon, along with the fact that even though Vaile appears to be so much stronger than Jon, it is really Jon who holds all the power in their relationship. When you want some steamy vampire man-love, this novel definitely fits the bill. Bite Here has two really great reads; one leads you into the magical world of the fae, the other into the dark world of vampires. I originally got this anthology because I adore Ms. Glenn’s works, but I found myself really loving Ms. Browna lot. Now I have a new author whose work I'll be looking out for in the future. I would highly recommend this anthology to anyone who is into man-love. Both stories are hot and memorable reads in their own unique ways. |
