Miguel Alero sees Karin Orth as she leaves the cab to board a boat for a sexual adventure cruise with her fiancé. He loves her full figure and devises a kidnapping to get her alone so that he can worship her as he believes she deserves to be worshipped in Jungle Games, book 3 of the Game Play series by H.C. Brown and KevaD.
Karin is not easily impressed by Miguel after coming to see the reality of her relationship with her fiancé. Miguel does all he can to make her see herself as a beautiful woman. Can he make her see herself as he does? Will she stay with her fiancé? Will she stay with Miguel?
I have a list of men every woman should have in her life. It is a short list. It includes Bob from Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues and Herman from Tina McElroy Ansa’s The Hand I Fan With. Miguel almost made the list. He started so well when he found her beautiful and let her know that and continued throughout their day to show her what he saw in her, but fell short when he refused to listen to Karin’s apology and forgive her after their one short night.
Karin saw herself through her fiancé’s and society’s eyes. Since she did not fit the mold society built she did not see herself as beautiful and desirable. As Miguel explained the legends of his people and as she felt desire for Miguel, Karin began to see herself differently. She did not give him what he wanted and, once again she felt as though she had failed. I liked that Brian, the ship’s captain, and Patrice, his wife, did not allow her to give up on herself or Miguel. They, as well as, Pehuen, Miguel’s right-hand man, showed her what made Miguel who he was.
I liked Karin.  She was uncertain about the cruise, her fiancé, and Miguel but as she struggled with the truths coming to her, she learned and grew.  She left some insecurities behind and grabbed what she wanted, which was Miguel.  The scenes where she deals with her fiancé are priceless.  Loved them.  While she was fearful of Miguel, she admitted to herself that she was aroused by and desired him.  The bathing scene at Miguel’s hideout is memorable.  Miguel can kidnap and bathe me any time he wants.

Jungle Games is a tale of a woman who needs to find out what she wants, the man who wants to help her find it, and a future that holds much promise after almost being the end. This is worth your time.
